Giving Back to Our Local Animal Shelter: How Community Events Make a Difference

Each year, our annual Witches event brings the community together for a fun and meaningful cause—and it also helps us give back in a big way. Proceeds from this event go directly toward supporting our local animal shelter and the animals who rely on it every day.

Local animal shelters play a vital role in caring for lost, abandoned, and rescued animals. Donations help provide essential resources such as pet food, cleaning supplies, medical care, and enrichment items that improve the quality of life for animals waiting for their forever homes.

Our city-operated animal shelter and adoption center welcomes visitors throughout the week and on Saturdays, offering opportunities to meet adoptable pets, learn about responsible pet ownership, and support local animal welfare efforts. If staff members are assisting in the field, visitors are encouraged to check in or call ahead for assistance.

Animal Control, a division of the local police department, is dedicated to protecting both people and animals. By enforcing local ordinances and state laws, they help ensure a safe and healthy environment for the entire community.
